Do I need to book an appointment?+
It's best to get in touch first via WhatsApp, email, or phone so I can give you an idea of timing before you bring your bike down — this helps me plan around any bigger jobs already in progess.
How long will my repair take?+
It depends on the job and how busy the workshop is at the time — a quick adjustment might be done same-day or even while you wait, while a full service or rebuild will take longer, especially during spring and summer. I'll always give you a realistic estimate when you drop your bike off,I aim to complete most jobs within a week.
Do you offer collection or delivery?+
Not during spring and summer, my busiest months — please bring your bike to the workshop and collect once it's ready. Outside those months it's normally not a problem at all, so just ask.
What types of bikes do you work on?+
Road, mountain, city, children's bikes, and legitimate e-bikes (mechanical side only). I also work on Di2 and other electronic groupsets.
Can you work on my e-bike?+
Yes, for the mechanical side — brakes, gears, wheels, servicing, and so on. I don't carry out motor diagnostics or work on Bosch/Shimano electronics, and strictly no DIY e-bike work is undertaken.
Do you fit parts I've bought myself?+
I'm happy to fit brand-new parts you've sourced yourself if you're not confident doing it. I reserve the right not to fit second-hand parts that aren't fit for purpose or compatible.
How much will my repair cost?+
Check my Service Costs page for a full breakdown of labour prices, and my Service Packages page for the Bronze/Silver/Gold full-service tiers. My minimum charge is £7.50. All prices are labour only — parts costs are additional.
Do your service packages include parts?+
No — all packages exclude parts. If anything needs replacing during a service, I'll always let you know the cost before going ahead.
How can I pay?+
Cash or card — whichever's easiest for you.
How much to fix my old bike that's been left outside for years?+
Honestly? Probably more than it's worth. A bike that's been left outside for years usually needs new tyres, chain, cables, and grips all at once — by the time that's added up, you're often looking at £100–£150 in parts and labour on a bike that might fetch £20 on Facebook Marketplace.
If it's got sentimental value or you just want it done regardless of cost, I'm happy to take a look. But if it's purely about getting a working bike for the least money, it's honestly often cheaper to put the money toward a different secondhand bike instead.
